Description: I’d like to nominate Ms. Brown for the local hero award. This woman is an educator, a mentor, a step team coach, and non profit volunteer. She has made an outstanding impact on both my life and lives of countless others. Ms.Brown has helped me with a lot of things in my life. For instance she is an amazing advisor. At a time in my life it was falling apart and she helped me not only get on the right track and help me navigate certain obstacles in my life. Everyday she told me I have to keep pushing. Ms.Brown loves to help others. Right now Ms. Brown is involved in an a program called the Principal’s Academy this program helps kids after school with homework, serve snack and lunch and for the kids to have a safe place after school instead of walking around campus. Ms. Brown favors school engagement. That’s why she is bringing the Step team to Sandalwood High school to get teenage girls involved into some activity after school. Throughout all this she finds time to not only deal with our problems but those in her daily life as well. She is an Outstanding, Outgoing, Powerful women and She is is my hero. She should be everybody hero’s too.

Rules and Prizes

One person from each of six defined categories will win a twenty four month vehicle lease from Beaver Chevrolet. Must be 18 or older to win. The categories are named as Law Enforcement, Firefighter/EMT, Nurse, Police, Teacher, Veteran and Local Wow Hero. Must be currently employed, excluding Veterans. Veteran must be honorably discharged. Nominations for Local Wow Heroes category excludes those who are eligible for the other categories. Law Enforcement includes Police & Corrections. To enter and be eligible to win, the applicant must meet the category requirements and be currently employed or reside in one of the named fields in Duval County, Nassau & Clay County. May only be nominated in one county & one category. Beaver Motors employees & family are not eligible. Nominations and voting are open to the public. There is a maximum of (1) one vote per person per category. The top 3 nominees, based on  total number of votes, from each category, will be required to submit a two minute video on why they deserve to win. Required questions to be answered will be distributed to the final three contestants in each category. A board comprised of a single representative from each category will select final winners. Any photos or videos submitted may be used for marketing purposes. Nominations and voting will begin on September 1st, 2019 and end on November 30th, 2019. Winners will be announced at an event open to the public on December 7, 2019 at 11am. Beaver Chevrolet has the right to disqualify any votes or contest image. Tag, tax and applicable fees will be the responsibility of the winners. Actual cash value is $10,000.
