Jacksonville Car Dealership Rallies Community to Support Colombia Earthquake Victims
When hardship impacts families and communities around the globe, neighbors in Jacksonville always find a way to step up. Following the recent earthquake in Colombia, our team at Beaver Chevrolet welcomed local organizers to transform our dealership into a relief collection hub for essential supplies.
Working closely with local volunteers and members of Jacksonville’s vibrant Latino community, we are humbled to host a drop-off location right here at 3494 Philips Highway, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
Coming Together for Colombia Relief
After news broke of the earthquake, local leaders and volunteers moved quickly to organize aid. Sebastián Cuadros, a local organizer and former truck driver, reached out to our management team to ask if we could provide a central drop-off spot for donation gathering. In addition to opening up space at our facility, we are providing a transport vehicle so these critical donations can make the journey south.
Volunteer Michael Bueno shared how encouraging the early response has been, noting how inspiring it is to see our Jacksonville neighbors gather together to help families in need.
All collected donations are being transported to South Florida, where Defensores de la Patria Miami will manage international logistics to deliver the aid directly to affected areas in Colombia.

Essential Items Needed for Donation
To ensure donations arrive safely and can be distributed effectively, organizers request that all donated goods be new, sealed, and unexpired.
Items currently being collected include:
Bandages, antiseptics, over-the-counter relief medication, and basic care kits.
Soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, and feminine hygiene products.
Diapers, wipes, baby food, and formula.
Canned goods, dry foods, and easy-to-prepare meal items.
Sealed dog and cat food, bowls, and basic care supplies.
Flashlights, batteries, work gloves, and multi-tools.
