Stuff the Bus Jax: Beaver Acts of Wow 5

August 5th, 2019 by

According to Duval County School District (2018), figures determining who gets free meals at schools show that over the past four years, the number of Duval County district students identified as low income has grown by 12.2%, while the number of high and middle-income students has fallen 12.3%.

With that being said, our family at Beaver Chevrolet, decided that since our local community students go back to school on August 12th, that this would be a good opportunity to make a difference for the families of students who need it the most. For our random Acts of Wow #5, we collected a Chevrolet Suburban full, or over $1,000.00 worth of school supplies and hauled them over to Stuff the Bus Jax, at the St. Johns Town Center! The items donated ranged from boxes of crayons, pencils, paper to calculators, headphones and water bottles. Aside from the dark clouds and spurts of rain, Bucky the Beaver felt right at home, and was able to take a few pictures with his new buddy, the Chick-fil-a cow!

We would like to thank United Way of Northeast Florida, First Coast News, Chick-fil-a, Markets at the Town Center, and anyone else who helped put this event together. Our family at Beaver Chevrolet are so thankful to be a part of such a wonderful cause!
