Description: Kyle Thompson serves Jacksonville as a Detective with the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office as a member of the Crisis Negotiations and Stress Management Team. He has assisted in bringing incidents involving hostages and persons in crisis to peaceful resolutions, helped keep criminals and murderers off the streets of our city and has spent 9 plus years on patrol, special assault, aggravated battery, and homicide. People like Kyle who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting are an honor to know.

Rules and Prizes

One person from each of six defined categories will win a twenty four month vehicle lease from Beaver Chevrolet. Must be 18 or older to win. The categories are named as Law Enforcement, Firefighter/EMT, Nurse, Police, Teacher, Veteran and Local Wow Hero. Must be currently employed, excluding Veterans. Veteran must be honorably discharged. Nominations for Local Wow Heroes category excludes those who are eligible for the other categories. Law Enforcement includes Police & Corrections. To enter and be eligible to win, the applicant must meet the category requirements and be currently employed or reside in one of the named fields in Duval County, Nassau & Clay County. May only be nominated in one county & one category. Beaver Motors employees & family are not eligible. Nominations and voting are open to the public. There is a maximum of (1) one vote per person per category. The top 3 nominees, based on  total number of votes, from each category, will be required to submit a two minute video on why they deserve to win. Required questions to be answered will be distributed to the final three contestants in each category. A board comprised of a single representative from each category will select final winners. Any photos or videos submitted may be used for marketing purposes. Nominations and voting will begin on September 1st, 2019 and end on November 30th, 2019. Winners will be announced at an event open to the public on December 7, 2019 at 11am. Beaver Chevrolet has the right to disqualify any votes or contest image. Tag, tax and applicable fees will be the responsibility of the winners. Actual cash value is $10,000.
