New Year’s Eve Celebrations in Jacksonville, FL
Though it seems like 2018 has just begun, we’re actually fast approaching the holiday season! With summer behind us, it’s time to get ready for the winter holidays and many Orange Park area residents might be looking for what kind of new year’s celebrations will be happening around town. Whether you’ll be celebrating on a Ponte Vedra beach or in the city, there’s plenty of unique celebrations this year that the team here at Beaver Chevrolet would like to recommend for you.
New Year’s from Vienna – Jacksonville Symphony
This year, Courtney Lewis and the Jacksonville Symphony is hosting New Year’s from Vienna. The celebration will begin with an elegant program of Viennese classics including Tales from the Vienna Woods, Waltzes from The Merry Widow, and Vienna Blood among others. Following the symphony, the Chris Thomas Band will perform and the evening will be capped off by a perfect view of the fireworks on the river at midnight.
Delfeayo Marsalis – New Year’s Eve Party
The Breezy Jazz club will be hosting what is sure to be one of the best New Year’s Eve parties near Jacksonville Beach this year. They invite you to ring in the New Year with Jazz trombonist, composer, and record producer Delfeayo Marsalis. Having produced more than 120 Jazz albums, and with 7 releases under his belt as a bandleader, Marsalis brings an impressive resume to the stage. Doors open at 9:00 pm for the New Year’s Eve celebration, and there will also be an after party from 1:00 am until 4:00 am featuring Mam Yo and The Bad Boys of Soul.
